About Us
Where do we start? Well, we met at the University of Illinois while Abby (Also known as Becky - Abby's her middle name) was in pre-med and Rimas was studying aviation. We both knew we wanted to train in a career needed in the mission field. Rimas earned a B.S. in aviation and flight instructed while Abby was in medical school.
During Abby's 3rd and 4th years of medical school we were excited to also be able to serve while being stateside with Agape Flights. Rimas flew weekly flights to Haiti and the Dominican Republic and managed the hangar in Florida when not flying. It was a great experience and good preparation for becoming career long missionaries. We learned how to trust God in raising support, finding housing, and how a mission organization works.
So finally after 4 years of undergrad and Abby finishing 4 more years medical school and currently in a emergency medicine residency in Toledo, we are getting very close to moving overseas to finally use our skills!
We will be serving through the Post Residency Program with World Medical Missions at Hospital Loma de Luz in Balfate, Honduras starting in September of 2010. Abby will be serving as a physician and Rimas and a pilot/aviation mechanic with Missionary Air Group. We will attend Spanish language school in July 2010 for 2 months.
